Elizabeth Johnston is sole proprietor of Working Woman. She
has worked in the Construction Industry for more
than 15 years and, as the
result of being involved in a mainly male-dominated industry,
organized the
Toronto Chapter of the National Association of Women in
Construction (NAWIC)
and became first president of the Toronto Chapter.
Elizabeth traveled extensively in the USA attending meetings and
conferences with other women and she increased her awareness of
challenges facing women in non-traditional roles. Working Woman
Workwear is her response to these needs. With
her considerable knowledge of designing and pattern making, as aresult of courses completed at Seneca College in Toronto, she
designedand
designs safe, comfortable Workwear for women everywhere.
