Elizabeth Johnston is sole proprietor of Working Woman. She has worked in the Construction Industry for more than 15 years and, as the result of being involved in a mainly male-dominated industry, organized the Toronto Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and became first president of the Toronto Chapter.

Elizabeth traveled extensively in the USA attending meetings and conferences with other women and she increased her awareness of challenges facing women in non-traditional roles. Working Woman Workwear is her response to these needs.  With her considerable knowledge of designing and pattern making, as a result of courses completed at Seneca College in Toronto, she designed and designs safe, comfortable Workwear for women everywhere.
